Item description
1974 Volvo 144 with 4y Toyota engine for sale to highest offer from R20 000 and up. Cash sale. Not a 440 model as posted in headline but a 144 model. Please be so kind to read through the full advertisement.
Sale information: 'The Volvo is sentimental to me and I wanted to restore it again because it had been exposed to weather-conditions for about 4 years while I was in Namibia. I am very fond of my Volvo and had her for 20+ years. I am sad to put my "heart" up for sale but have to because of current unemployment and homelessness. My Volvo is registered with the 4y engine (with 5 gears) convertion, is running and licensed but needs some TLC."
Regarding the engine: The 4Y is one of the most solid and best engines that has ever left the Toyota Factory Runs like Zola Budd-engine!
Regarding the Volvo: "In August 1966, Volvo presented a new 4-door car called the Volvo 144. It represented the start of an entirely new car series which, until 1974, accounted for Volvo's volume models.
Brakes: Hydraulic, disc brakes on all four wheels.
Dimensions: Overall length 464cm, wheelbase 260 cm."
